Our mission is to serve the Muslim community and the public at large in a professional and unprecedented way and to provide accurate information about Islam and the Muslims to the rest of the world.

Vision
MuslimGuide.com will be the reference site on Islam and the Muslims and their Institutions and organizations anywhere in the world. We envision MuslimGuide.com to become a one stop shop for the Muslims all over the world.

MG Benefits
Unprecedented website about Islam, Muslims and their Institutions
  • Great service: in terms of finding accurate and reliable information about Islam, Muslims and their Institutions from all over the world.
  • Help Relocate: As Muslim children are growing up, families are relocating from one community to another to enroll their children in Islamic schools.  This website will make it easier for them to find the suitable destination.
  • Statistics: Great service to researchers about Muslim communities.  Ability to generate statistics, finds accurate information, make analyses and generate reports too.
  • Census: A great disparity exists in estimating the number of Muslims in non-Muslim countries.  We hope this website will serve as an unofficial census of Muslims in those countries.
  • Will hope to show more clearly the demography of the Muslim community.
  • Will uncover unknown Muslim presences - communities and resources in urban, remote and rural areas.

How did it all get started?

  • In mid 2001, I decided to aerially photograph selected Mosques in the US to be featured in my famous "Al-Anwar Calendar" and with the theme of "Islam In America."

  • I contracted a firm to do that for me and three Mosques were photographed, but with the events of September 11th and restrictions on traveling, the project didn't complete.

  • In the following year, I decided to continue the project myself and started to photograph Mosques by traveling from city to city and state to state. At that point I was interested in Mosques that would look good in print.

  • As my collection grew, I entertained the idea of publication.

  • I realized that most of the Institutions photographed did not have any history documented or recorded in a detailed and accurate manner so I saw the need of taking on this huge but rewarding responsibility

  • I communicated the idea of this project of mine with National Muslim Leaders and professors like Dr. Abdullah Idris Ali, Dr. Suhail Ghannoushi, Br. Omar Yahia, Br. Nihad Awad, Dr. Muzzamil Siddiqui, Dr. Ihsan Bagby, Dr. Hatim Bazlan, Dr. Jamal Badawi and others. They all welcomed the idea and encouraged me to proceed with it.

  • A designer and programmer were contacted for the development of this website so information would be accessible easily at any place and at any time.

"Where there's a will, there's a way" and I will continue this project until it is completed, insha' Allah
